So it is back to reality this week as we return from the excitement of ! We would like to thank all the visitors for making the effort to come down and see us at the event.
North West Tippers have formed a number of new relationships meeting new people at the event whilst also seeing a few familiar faces along the way.
This year we had on display two of our latest builds. The first being the eagerlly awaited New Ford Transit Chassis Cab equipped with the ever Popular North West Tippers Workmate 350 body, the preferred choice for many Hire company's and fleet operators in the LCV industry. Its robust design and durability means it is built to last.We currently have type approvals pending for a number of products we will be able to build on this chassis.
The second vehicle on display was one of an order of 20 bespoke designed vehicles inconjunction with Econ Engineering for Leeds City Council, The council required a brand new range of vehicles to replace its existing fleet. The vehicles were equipped with a state of the art Quick change body system designed by Econ, This allows the customer to utilise the vehicle 12 months of the year in many ways. In the winter seasons the vehicle will be used to clear the roads with its Hi-Tech Gritter system and snow plough. The QCB system then allows the Winter maintenance equipment to be easily and safely removed from the truck.
For the majority of the year the vehicle will be equipped with a North West Tippers Work Master1800DM High tensile steel tipping body, All materials sourced from SSAB including Hardox Domex and Docol steels allows the body to withstand the rigours of its everyday duties including highway maintenance work such as spoil loading of heavy duty mixed loads, broken kerb stones and machine back hoe of loaded materials. The Hardox 450 wear plate is the perfect choice when it comes to our Heavy Duty steel floors.
Also with Health and safety on the top of the list for many councils these days the spring assited side panels and integral ladder body access points offer a safe environment for the operator to carry out their duties. On completion all body work is blasted, primed and top coated to the highest standards ensuring the longevity of our products.
The order of 20 vehicles consited of 15 x 18T high tensile steel tipping bodies, 3 x 18T high tensile steel fully insulated tipping bodies complete with tar chutes, 1 x 18T high tensile tipper grab equipped with the Atlas 92.2 Hydraulic lifting Crane all fitted to 18T EURO 6 DAF, with 1 x 26T Fixed sided heavy duty high tensile tipper grab equipped with the Atlas 105.2 Hydraulic Loader fitted to a Renault.
